These seem to be great benches, but I purchased two of them specifically for a 90" area. Instead of 44" long, these are closer to 48" on the top. I think the measurement is from leg to leg, rather than the top with the lip edge.

The only complaint I have about this bench is the cheap look of the butcher block top. The point where one piece of wood meets another isn't a straight edge like hardwood floors, but a zigzag. My old farmhouse table has straight edges, so I just assumed this bench would too. Fortunately, the zigzag isn’t that noticeable. The box the bench arrived in looked like it took a beating, but the bench itself had no damage. The plastic bag with the assembly parts ripped in transit, but only one washer was missing. Other than that, I had no problems putting it together. If you’re planning to store it under a table, note that the top of the bench is longer than 44. It is about 47 inches.

I ordered this to go with a table I have, mostly for practical reasons. I don't love the farmhouse look, but it was a good price and FREE shipping (yay!) so I was willing to try it. It arrived quicker than expected and was a breeze putting it together. It is very sturdy an I actually really like the way it looks, too. The top of the bench looks much cheaper in the online picture than in real life. As another reviewer noted, there is a zigzag pattern to the wood, but it is virtually unnoticeable (I didn't even notice until reading the other reviews). I have 4 kids, 3 of which can sit pretty comfortably on this bench, so it was worth it! The only thing is the length measurements are WRONG. I had wanted it to be able to fit under my table, but the bench is actually about 47", NOT 44", so it doesn't slide under as I'd hoped. But overall I'm very happy with it.

This bench fits perfect under our table, however it's top heavy and the legs are to close together. It flips very easy and has mashed quite a few little feet. It has now been moved into the garage to have boxes stacked upon it. Not recommended for any children in the home.

This bench was a perfect match for our old farmhouse table. We've owned it a week and it's working awesome for our needs. It seats 3 kids and we've had no problems with wobbling! The assembly instructions are VERY simplified - so I think it's possible some people could put legs on inside of frame putting them too close together? Not sure about others, but this bench is perfect for us! Also, bench is actually 47" long. 5 stars!

I wanted these for my kitchen table and ordered 2, then wondered if I was wasting my money when reading some of the other reviews. The 2 benches arrived yesterday and I am OVERLY PLEASED! WOW! The price was great and the quality was MUCH BETTER! I will address some of the things I read in other reviews and what I found: 1) my 14 year old daughter put them together- that's how easy they are to assemble, 2) the wood was fabulous- nice to look at and sturdy, 3) they are SO solid- you could stand on these and they would NOT tip- they're as solid as a table, 4) they fit perfect under my 36x60 farmhouse table! They are long, wide, tall enough and SUPER sturdy. You could fit 3 adults on them if the occasion arises and the bench will not waiver! I am SO pleased with these! You won't be disappointed!

My bench arrived yesterday. No problems with the wood, all the parts were there, and it arrived quickly. I put it together in about 10 mins...it was so easy! I love it. It sits in my kitchen under my picture window, and is a great place for my kids to put their shoes on. I am planning to put baskets underneath to hold my kids shoes/mittens/hats. I adore it!

It's pretty heavy, I got it mostly for the children and 3 of them fit easily, however I like to sit on it myself.

This bench met our needs perfectly. I wanted to be able to store the bench under the table and was glad I read the other reviews stating it is actually longer than the length listed. I measured my table from leg to leg - "48" and this bench has just enough room to fit with approx. one inch clearance on either side. It is sturdy and I love that it matches my farmhouse table in leg style. It matches closely enough in color - the table is a slightly more honey color. I hope the paint holds up. If so, I will be more than happy with this purchase!
